Wife Wants To Work In Uk

HI all, firstly sorry to post this question. I had looked through old posts but failed to find an answer, I have limited time available to me online.

MY question is if we are granted a marriage visa for my wife to come with me back to England, can she work straight away or does she have to wait untill full settlement is granted ?

your help would be greatly appreciated.

Once you are married in the UK you must apply for a settlement visa. When this is issued she is free to work in the UK, she must apply for an NI number etc. I believe at the moment it is taking around about 4/6 weeks for a 2 year settlement visa application to be processed.

At first, you will be allowed to stay and work in the UK for two years. Near the end of this time, if you are still married and intend to continue living together, you can apply to stay permanently in the UK.

Don't forget to collect the documents as suggested in section 10 of the form SET(M) and the Knowledge of language and life in the United Kingdom requirements.
