I'm looking to update my wardrobe and want to get some shirts, long and short sleeved, and some t-shirts, poloshirts and so on, everything young casual style.

When i look around mostly i found the western brands which are way overpriced, or the MBK copystuff which i dont want.

Can anyone recommend any brands or places to get what i am looking for, that is, non-expensive (compared to western imports), young and casual (the shirts can be more formal of course), and big enough in size (L-XL European size)?

Thanks..!

Brand name clothes in Thailand that aren't copied..........sorry, can't help!!

Only joking, If you want 'Brand name' clothing then they are available in any of the major shopping centers, Siam Paragon, Siam Centre, Central World etc but don't expect to find the items much cheaper than you can get back home, not for brand names, I think internet shopping has put pay to that.

As for non brand name clothing, you can try JJ market (The Weekend Market) or the market style areas in MBK, there are a few stalls there that are worth a look amongst all the copied dribble. It's all out there, just may just need to scratch a little deeper to find it.

As Catman has said, you need to look around. There are plenty of places where you can buy reasonably decent clothes at a reasonable price. I like Central, and always find decent branded clothes at reasonable prices

I think you will find that places like Tesco, Carrefour and Big C all sell clothes, whilst I can't vouch for the quality of it, there does appear to be some okay stuff that may suit your needs.

All the department stores: Robinsons, Central, Emporium, Tokuyo, have locally made clothes which are pretty good quality. You can also find boutiques belonging to local clothing brands on the 4th floor of MBK. Getting shirts made by a tailor is often a good deal. Many of them offer deals on, say, 10 shirts and you get to pick the styling details and the fabric.

Try Zara or Jaspal in Paragon or Central World. AIIZ also has smart, casual gear at a reasonable price. They have a store in MBK and Central World. They often have sales on the bottom floor of MBK.
