Does anyone know or can you recommend a nice clean hotel in Pattaya at around 3-400 Baht. I want to stay close to the beach and must be clean and good shower pressure. :o

I stayed at the Sawasdee Hotel on Soi Bouakow one time, it was about 400 bt per night, clean with shower ect.. it was ok, its about a 10 minute walk from Beach Road. I think there are 4 Sawasdee Hotels in Pattaya Area. good luck.

There are a number of guesthouse/bars on Soi Yamato and Soi Post office

that I think offer rooms at 350-400B? Every month one shophouse seems

to get torn down and another pops up in it's place. There is something to

be said for being close to the beach. You can find nicer stuff if you're willing

to walk a bit back from the shore but those budget deals are really vanishing. :o

this time of year no problem

even found some nice ones on soi 10 between soi buo caow and pat 2

350-400, that's a pretty nice area, and close to the beach

also on soi buo caow

and of course on soi lenkee

Pay a bit more and you could still have your gear in the room when you get back from the beach. :D

.. or loaded with roaches and water bugs. :o

If you can try to at least double your lodging budget and you'll have better options.

Not necessarily, I pitched up at my usual place a couple of weeks back and there was no loom at the inn. No problems though just went up the road a way.

I've stayed in 500 Baht per night guest houses over the last four years, 3 - 4 times a year, and never lost a thing. Wouldn't go leaving expensive photographic gear in the room though but if someone is looking for a cheap guest house in Pattaya chances are he aint carrying around a lot of top flight gear.

Sa Apartments, soi 13/1, is good at 500 per night and has a reasonable restaurant and safe deposit boxes.

Tuk bar, soi 13/1, is okay at the same price but not the same standard.

Nid bar, corner soi 14 (I think) and second road (virtually next to Tims agogo) is new and I think the same 500 Baht per night but don't quote me on that.

Those are the places I have used and if you go there just tell them you know khun Phil from Viet Nam and you'll get thrown out. :D

Just joking. :D

Remember these are no stars and no frills places. You get a room with en suite (shower pressure okay), television, refridgerator and a/c. They would not suit everyone but what the hel_l if you don't like it check out and move on.
