Nice Bungalow On Koh Yao Yai?

Featured Replies

We have been before in Pasai Cottage on Koh Yao Noi and we loved that island. In the end of July we're flying to Krabi and now we're looking for a nice place to stay on Koh Yao Yai for less than 1000 baht per night. Is Tiewson Bungalows still open, I can't find there website anymore. I read on this forum about bungalows on Chonglad beach, is it possible to just show up there or do we have to call first for transportation? Do you have other suggestions?

We also think about going to Koh Jum. Is Koh Jum nice in july or is there a lot of rubbish on the beach? Do they have nets between the bungalows and the beach against the strong winds like on Koh Phayam? We know its rainy season and that the weather should be better on the eastside of Thailand, but we have been there before and wouldn't go again. Thanks in advance for your help. :o

Isn't there anybody who can tell us more about Koh Yao Yai?

Have you tried Googling Koh Yao Yai , then contacting the bungalows direct.

Here's one site that may help :-

Also re the rubbish on beaches, you must bear in mind that this is the "rough weather season" and consequently there is all manner of flotasm & jetsom in the waters.

PS. The last person who I know who went there complained about the sand flies - but that could be just bar talk.

Cheers & Good Luck

Perhaps having this thread moved to either the Krabi or Phuket forums may bring a little more assistance.

Just a thought.
