Boycott of US goods spreading worldwide poor donald
My dental implants and bone grafts came from Switzerland. I don't care what my dentist uses, I did not buy it. Yes, if there was a medical prosthesis only made in the US, I would avail myself of it. BUT, you think you are the only guys in the world that can make stuff? -

Split AC Keeps Freezing over in exercise room
Well this thread has gone off the rails but a few posters answered my OP. Gamma as usual does his own thing which is entertaining. Easy to skim Gamma's long rambles. In the end I think I found the solution. In summary my refrigerant was tested during the professional clean a few days ago. Not the issue - LOL. This has happened for 20 years in my exercise rooms. This new room was just built and the AC installed 3 days ago. It is almost able to do the job and depending on the day usually takes well over an hour at running at 18c to ice over. All the erroneous posts ( trying to help ๐ ) got me thinking. I knew the AC was not the issue but many ( mostly one) were telling me otherwise. So I did some experimenting yesterday and I think I have the solution. As Gamma stated he can run his AC at 21c continuously 24/7 (as I can on my other non exercise room ACs) and I can't run mine ( 4 different ACs) while exercising "very" hard for 90 minutes without issue. To some the solution is probably obvious but wasn't for me. Do the normal thing as Gamma does ( normal and gamma in the same sentence ๐ ) and run my AC continuously and not just an hour before starting my treadmill run and turning off after. Did this yesterday and zero issues. The area where I run was a steady 20.5c +-1c and the humidity went from 48% to 59% in an hour. It never topped 60%. The coils were dry at the end of my session. To keep it at 18c (humidity ~100%) you'll need near perfect airflow across the evap coil to prevent condensate from freezing. Even at 20c it will freeze over most days. If I left it on for 12 hours at 20c I doubt there would be an issue but I only use the room for a couple hours a day at most. I think I could get away with setting it to 21c a few hours before and raising to 22c during the treadmill run but a rare cold front is moving through and can't test it. Thanks everyone
