Yes, it is possible. All you need is a job in Thailand. Some types of work are prohibited for foreigners (see here, page 18) but for the rest you are free to take any job for which a company in Thailand wants to employ you.

degree in molecular biology

2 years experience in copr/investment banking operations at various London banks

i've never workd in biology since graduating

i could do admin work in thailand i guess?

Yes, it is possible. All you need is a job in Thailand. Some types of work are prohibited for foreigners (see here, page 18) but for the rest you are free to take any job for which a company in Thailand wants to employ you.

yes, definitely something to consider, but it will ruin my banking career I think.

Well look at Singapore or Maylasia if you want to continue your banking career.

Oh yeah, we forgot something ... you'll need a work permit for every single job .....
