The Meeting Point has some rooms in Soi 13, ask your friend.

The Lek is probably the most family friendly in the area, there are a couple of places in Soi Dianna but I would not recommend them for family stays, the hotel Dianna is supposed to be good.

It all depends on the amount you want to pay.

I have seen some ads for the Ibis hotel on soi 3 or 4 that looked nice and the price was under B 1500 a nite for standard room. I think this is a Mecure or Accor brand hotel. Google for more details.

I have to take issue with this, I thought the second most asked question was 'how do I get to/from the airport' :o

I know you said central Pattaya - but if you would consider Jomtien, the Boathouse is good value and right on the beach (good for the kids). Last time I stayed it was 900b for a sea view room and 800b for a room at the back, may have gone up - basic but clean and a good restaurant.

The Lek is a good choice, you know what to expect.

The Brunch is a bonus.

Used to stay at the Lek frequently, very convenient location and nice staff. Recently been staying at the Areca on Soi Diana Inn. Again the staff are good there and the pool(s) are nicer. The downside being you have to navigate second road to get to beach road.

No not so!

It has to be : What's the cheapest way to get to/from the airport.

cheers

Pattaya Bay Resort. Behind The Avenue Mall and next to Mercure Hotel. Secure and has swiming pool on roof and really good breakfast - not Buffet.

I stay at Areca Lodge in soi Diana - great facilities and 2 pools, one very big and great for kids.

Good breakfast, nice staff.

The first most asked question on this forum is "How do you measure 200 meters from Mean Sea Level?" :o

I have to take issue with this, I thought the second most asked question was 'how do I get to/from the airport' :D

No not so!

Indeed, I stand corrected - I wish they would just sticky that question :o

I thought the second-most asked question in Patters was, "Just exactly how sick is your buffalo back in Isan?"

THE MEMBER WHO RECOMENDED WELCOME PLAZA MUST LIKE LIVING WITH COCKROACHES. THE PLACE IS CRAWLING WITH THEM. A DIRTY OLD FASHIONED HOTEL NEVER AGAIN WOULD I STAY THERE .LASTED 1 DAY OF A 5 DAY BOOKING

Anyone tried the new Eastiny Plaza on Soi 8? Looks pleasant enough on the pics and because it's new I guess it's still in pretty good condition
