About one year ago; I had a personal photograph painted to order in Pattaya (2 faces portrait) by a painter outside Mikes Mall. He did a good job for 2000 Baht (Size 18X14 inch).

Now I want a photograph of a painting (modern art, not an old master) painted/copied by one of the many painters in the Pattaya area. The size is much larger; 4 feet by 2 feet approx.

Can anyone recommend a painter in Pattaya and also give me an idea of the total cost?

have you looked at the numerous painters on 'Art Street' on the side of Mikes shopping mall.

there are many to choose from, i have had some good work done for friends in UK by a guy in the 4th or 5th booth down, walking from 2nd road side to seafront. his name is kum i think.

Art Street would be one place to look , another would be first floor of Royal Garden Plaza towards the 2nd road end on the left if you walked in from beach road there is a place which has 4 or 5 artists at work on view so you can check them out as they are working.

They seem to specialise in copying photos etc............not sure about the price though.

Thanks for the suggestions. Yes, I used 'Art Street' before for a small portrait. I was also interested to know of anyone who had used the painters at the end of Pratamnak Road/Beginning of Thappraya Road which you can see on the right hand side of the road when taking a Baht Bus from Pattaya-Jomtien.

Also, has anyone had a large painting copied and how much? Thanks.
