Off To Nepal

I have been searching the net for the last few hours tring to find out fi I need a visa for stopping off in Bangladesh on my way to Nepal from Bangkok. Can anyone help?? I am pretty sure I can get a visa on arrival at Kathmandu but the plane I am taking stops in Bangladesh for an hour, Im not usre if I will need a visa for bangladesh??? Knowhere I can find is making any sense???

If you've bought the ticket Bangkok-Dhaka-Kathmandu then you will only be transiting in Dhaka airport and as such will surely not need a visa.

1.rules for visa are always dependent on nationality: so quote always when asking.

2.95% of all flights to/fro Dhaka are of course by Biman=BangalaDeshi air. This airline has a very bad rating/name. The current only alternative ex BKk is THAI/direct. Royal Nepal also used to do it, but all their long-dist planes are in repair. Maybe this is better when next high season for NPL-travels arrives. And by simply surfing to amadeus.net you can simpyl find all regular commercial airlinks.

Have you seen the big ads in the Bangkok Post this week for the new Air-India Express service Bangkok - Kolkata - Dhaka?

What is interesting is that the advertised price Bangkok to Dhaka is half the price of the Bangkok to Kolkata price (which you transit through).

I don't have the advertised prices in front of me (and they would be meaningless anyway) but this service might offer a cheaper way of getting to Nepal.
