Vaccum Foodsaver

I wasn't sure if I should post this as a Food Topic or a General Topic but I'll give food a try first.

I am looking to buy one of those electric machines that will vaccum seal a bag of food or a jar.

There is a web site for the Foodsaver brand Foodsaver but no distributor listed for LOS

The home models are very good for sealing many things and keeping fresh.

Does anyone have one or know of a store where available?

A machine and the supply of the bagging plastic.

I am looking for the same thing.

I was told that it could be found in china town, but didn't look for it yet.

Those plastic bags can be found everywhere.

I'm in the Banchang/Pattaya area so China town is out for me but if its a decent machine might be worth the trip. Let me know how you make out?

I got mine (work good for home use/not for heavy duty) for 2000/3000 baht in Makro Koh Samui from Champ brand.

Champ sells a lot of different stuff for professional kitchen, such as ovens, mixers, etc

I don't have the number but I guess you can find it easily

Thanks there is a Makro here in Rayong. I will check it out to see if they have one

I got mine at Direct TV and have seen them at "As seen on TV" in some of the malls.

But a word of caution.....when you do find one, make sure they have the bags too. Also check that the sizes are correct. They tried to give me a box with 4 rolls of the wrong size bags when I bought mine.

Buy all the bags you can afford to buy if you're using it commercially.
