Hi there, I think i know the answer but i just need this confirming as my TW has been tol differently by a friend in TL.

My TW must have passed ESOL level 3 or the life in UK test before the end of her current SV in 2 years time?? Its just some one has told her as long as she can prove she is still studying her ESOL course at the time her settlement visa runs out, they would extend it?? I have never heard this, but my wife is adamant her friend is right! Clarification please!! Thanks in advance...

If your wife fulfils the qualifying criteria and has passed either an ESOL with Citizenship course (moving up a level in the process) or the Life in the UK test, then she may qualify for indefinite leave. If she has passed neither one nor the other, she may be given a further extension of 2 years.

Scouse.
