Good day to All,

Saw all the posting regarding the application of Visa to Italy or Schegen states for thais national. Really seems hard and difficult to have one let alone planning a trip there.

However, I will be going to Italy on a business trip and hope that my thai gf will have a chance to visit me while I am there.

The problem I foresee is that I am not a resident or citizen of any of the EU country, I am from Singapore and will be staying in a hotel, therefore I will not be able to issue the Invitation letter to my gf. Is having a hotel reservation under my name/ her name/ both names is good enough for her to apply for a tourist visa? And if the following items are good enough to be successful for the application?

  • Return Air ticket
  • Travel insurance
  • Proof of occupation – My GF is a Ministry Administrative Officer
  • Proof of bank account. Enough expenses for more than 20 days in Itlay?
  • Photocopy of her credit card.
  • Hotel Reservation.
  • Invitation letter (if needed even if a hotel reservation under her name?)
  • 2 passport size photographs.

Also anyone knew how long it will take to finished the whole process? Haha..... 50 days again?

Planning for her to go on end October/ early Nov. and 2nd trip on end December during the Christmas/ new year holidays.

Can any kind soul advice on this?

Thanks.
