You need a visa services agent, not a travel agent.

If you use an Agent, ensure it is the equivalent of a UK OISC registered company, in the mean time, if you have any queries GH Burns is pretty hot on Aussie Immigration stuff on here and is generally more than happy to help.

Good Luck

Thanks Moss. But many travel agents do the Visitor visa help aswell. I would use an agent if it was anything harder than just a visitor visa.

Well, if they do, they are certainly not qualified to do so.

Why don't you print off the forms yourself, have a bash at filling them in and if you get stuck, put on a few posts on here.

Then e-mail back to her with suitable instruction, it might save you money and poor advice to boot.

An agent is a waste of money.....even a travel agent.

Download the 48Rtha form from the immi website, it is in both English and Thai.....fill out what you can, which would be 95% of the form.....send it to her for her to complete.

Paperwork required is minimal really......Her House ID, her bank account if you are sending money, your receipts for monies sent, Photos of the two of you together, letters, phone records, A letter of invite from you or a Stat Dec stating the intentions and support being offered. Photocopy of your passport front page.

If you intend to be an additional funds provider then you will need to include proof of your income.

Get certified copies of any documents as this can be useful for more substantive visas later on.

She can go to the Embassy but it is preferred that they go to the VFS office, The girls there are pretty good and helpful.
