Not by the Police, maybe good in TH but not in Europe thats for sure, and you can get the stamps you want, my friend did.

Google IDL scam..

The IDL is nothing.. Its merely a translation of your home country license and if your home country license isnt accepted in that country anyway its as much use as a video rental card (which means to say in Thailand they can work.. My buddy has used both a video rental card and a 'divers' license) but these DONT make you legal and DONT mean your insured etc.

If you have a 5 year Thai license you can get a IDP from them. If you dont you can get a IDP from your home country if you have a license and address etc.

Why the gazette continues to let scammers deceive thier readers and advertise there I dont know.

BTW you dont need to physically go to BKK to get a Thai IDP.. I went to the phuket office where they processed everything and sent it away.. I got the IDP in the mail a few weeks later.

They're illegal in Thailand too.
