Industry insider says EVA air to re configure no more Elite Class LHR - BKK -TPE sometime next year sad it was a good trip

bum. hope it's after March. we have a large group coming out & most are booked elite LHR- BKK!!!

That's disappointing,I thought they advertised it well & got a high number of upgrades

Airlines should be adding this not taking it away. This means we either have to fork out for business or suffer shit class, neither of which I'm likely to choose EVA for.

I will belive it when I see it, I do not belive it would be a smart move by EVA air.

What would they replace it with?? Its always nearly full/full.

In my opinion they are not deleting anything worth a s--- anyway................

Just tried to book elite class on e bookers for May and Sep next year the respose is seat not available when all other classes are, could be fully booked but I don't think so not this early

Are we talking about Evergreen Deluxe? I was able to find available flights BKK-LHR-BKK this afternoon for April 09.

I just checked on Eva web site. Elite available at end of June returning mid August Lhr-Bkk. From checking out Ams-Bkk in April and end of June it would appear that Evergreen de Luxe has now been discontinued on this route and replaced by Elite Class.

Evergreen Deluxe is Elite class and has been for some years after rebranding.

From memory the old 747 combis out of Amsterdam were still using evergreen deluxe branding as the 747 had not been refurbished.

Whatever elite/evergreen deluxe are same.

I phoned Eva Air myself about this. They had no idea what I was talking about, they probably thought I needed my 'medication'.

Just completed a flight to and from London in Elite Class - very comfortable - and very full. I cannot see them dumping this section, surely it is very popular. While I prefer business class, Elite Class is still way, way better than any economy seat on any airline.

Met a nice stewardess on the return leg - her nametag says Kanda K, her nickname Aerith (which I guess is the Thai spelling of Alice). Speak to her in Thai and she will be very pleasant, and she has a knockout smile. I'd guess that this is the only route she flies besides BKK-TPE, so if you fly Eva in elite class, you will probably run into her. Beats the Thai Airways stewardesses hands down.

I just tried the same flight for July 11th and got this message for the Elite/Evergreen Deluxe option:-

We’re sorry! There is no available fare to fit your itinerary. Please contact us for assistance.

Mind you, I just tried the same dates with the Economy seats option and got the same message!
