What kind of visa are you on and what country are you from.

Your question cannot be answered without this information.

All visa extensions cost 1900 baht.

Ten day extensions are not normally given. Seven, 30, 60, 90 and greater are normal dependent on visa type and for what reason.

Hi Guys,

Is it also 1900 Baht for a 90-day non-b extension? I qualify as follows but can't find a fee anywhere:

Case 7.14 In the case of a skilled worker or expert in medicine, nursing or other professional for transfer of technology and knowledge to Thais: Permission will be granted for a period of not more than 90 days at a time.

Thanks,

Richard

Hi ,

My non B visa will expire this coming November 17. Actually I was working in a company here in Thailand for 4 months probationary, one of our department which I don't belong was dissolved. Unfortunately, me and the two Thais were still in probationary status were terminated. I would like to have my non B visa extended so that I could look for another Job here in Bangkok. What can you recommend of a best reason that I could tell to Thai immigration officer? Thanks

Immigration will only give you a 7 day extension no matter what you tell them.

The best thing to do is go to Vientiane and get a 2 entry tourist visa that would give you almost 6 months with extensions and one border run to find a job. With correct paperwork a tourist visa can be changed to a non-b when you find a job.

THe question is if you have a multiple non-B and do you need to leave the country every 90 days, or did you get an extension of stay at immirgation? In the first case you still have a valid permission to stay. If you went to immigration for an exentsion of stay, your permission to stay in Thailand ended the day your job ended and you are on overstay.

For the rest, do as Joe told you and just get a tourist visa.
