any suggestions please? I like to read alot and spend alot of time writing. It must be quite and enforce the no smoking rules in public areas.

I like the smaller types ones in dead end soi's to cut on that horrible trafic noise.

Also, can anyone suggest a gay friendly guest house close by for my visiting friends

many thanks

The House by The Pond is gorgeous! If only rates are lower... I'm looking to rent a place in the Sukhumvit area. Going to work in Klongtoey starting January 2009. If only I can share an apartment, i don't mind paying for a two-bedroom apartment.

Up the end of soi 16- towards Rama 4- Monterey Place. 1 bed with full kitchen, bathroom, balcony is only 17 000, 2 beds from 23 000.

I live in a corner unit with views of queen sirikit and klong Toey. I was working near Bangkok Post so I could walk to work.

MRT is a stones throw away

What's a 'gay friendly' guest house then and how do you differentiate it from an 'unfriendly' one.....
