Must be worrying for you.

As far as I am aware, reading various other posts on this site, all tourists have been taken to hotels. The airport is supposed to be open by 6pm today, but at this time, the protesters are still there.

The truth is, nobody knows for sure when the airport will be operational again.

Sorry I can't give you any more information than this, hope you're both safely reunited soon.

There is no logical reason to assume the airport will reopen soon. The protesters are still there and refuse to leave without force, and if it comes to the point of using force, there will be a mess to clean up.

.....and all the journalists in Mumbai will fly over to Thailand(or nearby) for their next coverage.

she might be in some other airport in thailand, from where her flight might be departing (utapao, phuket, chiang mai) - but most likely she is stranded indefinitely

OK, you figure this out then. As of 5:00 PM my wife was in Bangkok. She arrived here in S. Korea, as of last night. How did she get here? Thailand military airport.

At least you're back together, safe & sound.

There must be many thousands of people worried about the whereabouts of their loved ones.

The PAD has a lot to answer for.
