Travellers Vent Frustrations Over Soaring Costs, Two-Tier Pricing, and Cannabis Concerns
When I first came here i stayed at name hotels. The I realized that the market for hotels is not the average touris t but the dumb rich ones. There is a hotel close to Patpong that used to be a great place to stay. It was older but it still had a lot to offer swimmng pool good food fancy restaurant if you wanted it and dancing. Then the owners decided to upgrade the hotel and of course with the up grade came the upgrade inprice to move it from a 3 star to a 4 star. Same hotel same options nothing really changed except that tey thinkthey are a 4 star. Just read on teh news that it has been bought and the same hotel is going to be rated as a 4.5 star hotel. Same location same basic building. The bottom line is that as long as tourists are going to pay the high rates adn the hotels have profitable occupancy they are going to gouge people. Me I find that I can get a nice room in the 1200 a night range with the same features in a 3 star hotel. After all the only thing you need a hotel for is a place to put your stuff and lay your head at night. Really, all you need is a clean room, clean bedding, and a door that locks. anything else is just over indulging -

How scared should we be of Trump's authoritarian tendencies?
Haha, you mean 'truth' like the funeral thread started by Tug yesterday, but trumpets are the liars... ok then -

Crime Chinese National Arrested at Airport for Murder & Dismemberment of Transgender in Pattaya
That's almost as appalling as what the Chinese guy did. Are prolonged screams for help so common in this hotel that they're routinely ignored? -

Crime Passenger Catches Chinese Man Red-Handed Stealing on Bangkok-Phuket Flight
Good someone caught them red-handed. No chance of denials. A shame there are not cameras mounted in every plane to show passengers. i do not understand why airlines do not take better actions to provide security on planes to prevent this type of action. Who wants to sit cramped up for hours in a plane and be forced to watch their baggage compartment to make sure noone is attempting to steal their belongings. It is not just that someone may or may not have stolen from you. They may have searched your stuff and seen you had nothing of value in your bags. Or bypassed your cheap backpack knowing. even if they opened it, nothing of value would be inside. -

Why Zelensky Won’t Bargain Away Crimea — No Matter the Pressure
A quick google search would give you that but you're too lazy or afraid of the truth. Here's some help for you: Elon Musk's Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) claims to have saved $160 billion by cutting wasteful government spending. However, a nonpartisan analysis estimates that these cuts have cost taxpayers $135 billion due to factors like lost productivity, rehiring mistakenly fired workers, and legal expenses.
