I am currently on a 6 month tourist visa which I obtained from Australia. This enables me 3 entries in that period according to the stamp. This visa expires on March 14th 2009.

I would like to fly to Laos from Thailand just before my visa expires and stay possibly for a month, then perhaps stay for a few weeks in Vietnam before returning to Laos. I would then like to return to Thailand for a couple of months before returning home to Australia.

My question is: can I obtain another tourist visa in Vientiene for a few months in Thailand?

If not, could I obtain a 30 day visa excempt entry and could I extend this and for how long?

Much thanks for your help,

Jessie

You can obtain another tourist visa in Vientanne, even a double entry.

If you come without a visa you now get only 15 days if you come by land crossing, 30 at an airport.

You can get a Tourist Visa in Vientiene Laos. This would give you 60 days and can be extended for a further 30 days at Immigration. You could have extended your previous entries.

If you return to Thailand by land you will get 15 days entry not 30.

You cannot extend your entry stamp. You will have to leave and come back again.

Sorry you can extend it at Immigration but only for 7 days and will need a flight ticket within those 7 days. 1,900 Baht fee.
