Ebay Auctions: Why Is Ebay Time 6-seconds Ahead Of Uk?

You can check eBay time by clicking on the link at the bottom of its site. But it is 6" faster than Internet or UK-radio-clock time!

Any reason for this? Useful to know for auction sniping in the last few seconds :

a "final-5-second" bid must therefore be placed 11 seconds before the official end.

Shouldn't it be 7 hours and 6 seconds ahead of the UK ??????? OH and like the above sys JEEZ get a life. PS f everyone used sniping software the auctions would grind to a halt. SAD !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Might be because of network lag. My online stock trading is off a few seconds from the US.
