I have applied for a one year extension, and have to return to immigration after about six weeks.

Can I leave the country in the meantime ? And if so would it be ok to report 3 or 4 days later than the date stamped in my passport ?

If you leave the country you'll need a re-entry permit to keep your visa valid.

The date stamped in the visa is when your current extension is good until. If you enter the country after that date imm might cancel the visa even if you have a re-entry permit.

I'd suggest asking immigration about this.

If your current permit to stay is still valid.

The under consideration stamp is not an extension so you are in a limbo situation until that date after your current permit to stay ends and they stamp your passport with your new permit new to stay.

You will have to check with the immigration office to see if they will give you a re-entry permit and about being late for the report back day.

No problem to obtain a re-entry permit while "under consideration" but make sure to be back in time as stamped in the PP to collect the result!!!

One day late and your visa is gone.

If you are late you may have a chance if you have a VERY GOOD (provable!) reason, like airline delays, certified health problems, etc. which prevented you from coming back to TH in time.
