I am planning a trip with my son in March to travel to Bali from BKK. We are both US passport holders. I was wondering if itis visa on arrival or do we need to get the visa before we head over there. I am also considering taking my girlfriend who is a thai passport holder. What is the visa situation for Thais.

Appears Thailand is not on the list of countries for 30 day tourist visa on arrival, the USA is.

So appears you (USA) have to apply for Tourist visa on arrival, Thais do not require a visa.
