Tourist Visa From Singapore (re-visit)

I'm re-visiting this topic again. Before they scrapped this not exceeding 90 days thingy, the Royal Thai Embassy used to issue a TR on the condition that you must stay out of Thailand for 2 months before they allow you to apply your 2nd TR. In other words, no back to back TR like Vientiane.

Now that the 90-day thingy has gone, will Thai Embassy in Singapore still insist on a 2-month window period (outside Thailand) before they approve your TR ?
