I need to renew my Australian passport, does anyone know of such a place in Phuket where I can do this?

Obtaining an Australian passport in Thailand

Eligibility/ Application Forms

Information, including the schedule of fees, regarding Australian passports and application forms is available at http://www.passports.gov.au Renewal forms are available online. Passport forms can be picked up at the Consular Section in the Australian Embassy.

Processing times

A full validity passport takes 10 working days to process from the day all required documentation is provided, plus postage time. It takes 10 days because the documentation is scanned to a high security production centre in Australia which despatches the passport to the Embassy.

Local Guarantors

See the application form for advice. If you require a non-Australian citizen to act as a guarantor, acceptable occupations are:

Accountants, Barristers, Solicitors, Clerk of Courts, Bank Managers, Dentists, Judges, Parliamentarians, Police Officers, Postal Managers, Registered Medical Practitioners.

To renew a British Passport does one just wander into the Embassy in Wireless Road or is an appointment necessary.

Also is there a waitiing time of how many days?

Further more is a Non Imm "o" in the old passport still valid, I presume one just has to get an endorsment of sorts.

You don't need an appointment. Just show up at the embassy, stand in the door queue, make you way to consular services, take your queue ticket. Can be a long wait. It will take at least 7 days to process the passport. Pay the fee for the embassy to courier your new passport to you. Armed with old & new passport, go to Immigration office and have details from old passport scribed into new passport. Easy ...
