Going To Thailand From Uk - Options?

Featured Replies

Hello,

My girlfriend is applying for teaching jobs in Thailand at international schools to start in September 2009.

I would like to go with her but am not a teacher.

Just wondering what my options are regarding visas and working?

I am 28 and have a BSc degree (2.1) but no TEFL type qualifications.

Would I be able to go there for a year?

How does working over there work, what are the restrictions visa-wise?

Thanks!

You can get a one year multi-entry O visa from the consulate in Hull/Cardiff/Birmingham.

This will give you a 90 day entry stamp on arrival and a simple "out and back in border run" will get you

a new 90 days.

Jobs, well that is another matter.

You will need a Work Permit before starting any job.

I suggest you read this post.

Without any idea of your qualifications or experience it is difficult to advise.
