After several years of continued failures with IVF treatments, my wife and I have decided to investigate using a gestational surrogate. My wife's sister, who has had several children already, is willing to help us with our request, but I have heard horror stories about the antiquated laws in Thailand which don't allow the DNA mother to be listed on the birth certificate.

Apparently, there was a law advanced back in Jan of 2007 to correct this problem, but it was never approved. Does anyone know of a legal firm, preferably in Bangkok, that specializes in these kinds of cases and can assist us with planning a strategy to use a gestational surrogate for the birth of our child?

Thank you for any assistance.
