March 5, 200917 yr I don't think it's any kind of achievement or something special to get a retirement visa; I only like to share my (very good) experience from this week. I arrived at Suan Plu at 12.30 (during lunch break). My number was called at 13.40. I left Suan Plu at 13.57 with my visa. Great service, lovely staff. I changed from a Marriage to a Retirement extension. My wife didn't have to accept this change with her signature, but I had to sign a form. I presented the following documents: TM 7 with picture (same picture I use for the last few years!) Copy of passeport Letter from embasssy, confirming income, (Cost Baht 1400) Letter from the bank, (Cost Baht 200) (Together total income: Around 1 Mio) Copy of the entire saving book If money is not an issue, than Retirement extension is obviously the way to go. March 5, 200917 yr Great, way to go changing to the retirement visa, that way you don't have to drag the wife to Immigration, if she is like mine/most wives I am sure she has better things to do.
