Some of my important documents are starting to look a little mistreated. I've been thinking about getting them laminated but I know that some people have had problems when presenting laminated degrees to immigration.

My main concern is my marriage certificate, I've already misplaced one of the two (I actually think immigration forgot to give it back to me).

Do you think immigration will accept my documents if they are laminated?

It is allways a bad idea to laminate original documents, certificates transcripts etc as it prevents the inpecion of changes to the documents and any security features.

It may be a good idea to laminate copies of them so that if the others are lost or damaged you can facilitate replacement.
