The info for the TB check can be found here. If you need any more info on it, do a search here, there were some threads a few weeks ago on this subject.

If you can fill out a simple form yourself and aren't afraid of paperwork, you may as well do it yourself. The hard part is getting all the supporting documentation together. If you get stuck on a question, do a search here and if it's not clear then, post a message. I woldn't pay anyone to do any of the visa forms as they aren't particularly long or complicated.

You will need to show that the child can be adequately maintained and accommodated in the UK, as you did for your wife's application.

You, or your wife, will also need to show that she has sole legal custody of the child and has been exercising sole responsibility.

See Chapter 14 - Settlement entry for children

Unless there are problems/doubts over the custody and/or responsibility issues there is no need to pay an agent. If you do feel the need for one do not use an unqualified agent in Thailand! Use a properly qualified and regulated one in the UK, such as the sponsors of this forum.
