DPM calls on Dr. Thaksin to take responsibilty for criticisms of the Privy Council

Source: National News Bureau of Thailand - 30 March 2009

Encouraging to see the National News Bureau of Thailand finally pulling the moniker, Police Lieutenant-Colonel, from the disgraced and defrocked ex-policeman. :o

Now they just need to work on his bogus PhD title.

The reds are still outside Government House with no weapon. They do not and will not go in. They don't let Abhisit go inside Government House because he works for noble system and came in not democratically after a general election. He came up with help from Army and invisible hands.

Soldiers and police are ordered to be ready 100%.

The reds said soldiers may use violence to them today. 3 steps: negotiation, water and tear gas.

Nuttawut said there has been no negotiation so far.

Reds from Lam Pang, Singburi, Chanthaburi, Korat, Roi Et, Lopburi, Nakhon Pathom and Chachoeangsao have arrived at the local Government Houses and will block GH if violence is used to reds at Bangkok.

Taxi drivers said there will be explosions from the gas tanks if violence is used to reds in Bangkok.

Some border soldiers wear reds and are now with the reds in Bangkok.

Last night a policeman was on the red stage declaring most of police at low levels are with the reds.

Abhisit can move the Cabinet meeting or he can cancel it because they all an audience with the Princess this week. Then he flies off to London.

Reds can sit there all they want.

Yesterday's numbers were reportedly low, can they effectively block the govt house tomorrow to prevent Cabinet meeitng if Abhisit decides to hold it there?

He forgot one important step - put them on ignore and leave them to themselves.

In the past, when clearing protests, they sent new set of soldiers to do because old set understood the reason when hearing what protestors said.

Right now there have been police with weapons seen near Government House.

Yellows occupied Government House for 3 months and 2 airports at Bangkok for a week with no problem and reds are in danger now.

The govt will giver reds a couple of weeks before thinking about solutions.

On the other hand, if reds prevent the govt from executing its duties, they'd lose their "we are better than PAD" card. What's it matter if they are inside or outside if they force the govt to work elsewhere?

Unlike Samak/Somchai, Abhisit is seen as working to solve the crisis and putting politics aside. Reds will soon find themselves completely isolated. PAD at that stage had found more and more allies.

The discrepancy of what is "reported" and what really happened never fails to amuse. Low numbers in day time are reported, and very high numbers at night are ignored.

The last few days the Red Shirts had at night far more numbers the PAD managed to bring to the streets during their Government House occupation at any time. But it rarely was reported that apart from the larger activities, the PAD has had most of the time not more than a thousand protesters at Government House.

The numbers game continues...

Koo, hand on your heart honestly, do you believe attacking Prem was a good idea to win over the support of the nation?

Is it not obvious to you the main reason why the yellow shirts managed to stay put in government house so long, yet the red shirts will struggle to do so all the way?

News from the red stage:

Reds Kalasin, Chiang Rai and Phisanuloke have arrived at local Government Houses.

Police and their wives have arrived at Roi Et GH and will block the local GH if violence is used to the reds in Bangkok.

Reds in Phang Nga still has no leader but are forming group in front of local GH.

Abhisit government knows at day time, the reds come back to work so this is the reds weak time.

Reds said if water is used, they will turn back to face water. If tear gas is used, they will use wet clothes to cover faces but will keep protesting.

Abhisit should run for Prime Minister of the UK. He's there almost as often as he is in Thailand, and Britain could use him.

I didn't see any actual numbers, just one phrase in some article.

If they want to block the GH, it's the numbers during the day that matter. Today they went across the road to boo Abhisit who went to the UN building, there were 50 people there.

I have no idea if it was in the line of sight from the main group, or if that was basically all reds there on Monday morning.

Dems will try to put an end to Thaksin's videolinks, then what will keep reds going there at nights?

Invisible hands or not, what about the visible hands?

How about the first question?

Protesters block officials, vendors from entering Government House

The pro-Thaksin protesters Monday morning blocked some 50 officials and foods vendors from entering the Government House compound.

AT 8:35 am, the officials and vendors, who sell at the canteen in the complex, waited outside a main gate but the protesters would not allow them to go inside.

The protesters blocked all gates and demanded Deputy Prime Minister Suthep Thaugsuban to resign or else they would not allow anyone to enter or leave the Government House.

Basically the hate your enemy speeches and announcement of groups around the country doing this that and the other and arriving and the small rapid reponse groups charging to whereever the government are going are all straight out of yellow playbook. However, the reiligousity of the whole affair with a supreme godlike leader and a bunch of lesser disciples is a tad different. In reality the yellows and reds of the more committed variety are almost interchangeable, and I am not talking about the pay for play vareity who both sides have used to boost their numbers. In these groups lies no hope for any solution.

While red and yellow can &*^% on about their numebrs, the reality is the majority remain uncommitted and in that must lie hope for the future as extreme red and yellow are both just power crazed loons obsessed on owning the country for their own personal benefit. On the one side you have lets do away with OMOV and on the other you have lets have no meaningful checks and balances and return to power Thailand's biggest human rights abuser in decades. Lets hope neither of these lunatic fringes actually gets to win, and letys be happy that most seem to have the sense not to side with the faith based hatemungers.

I feel it's weird to block the food supply for soldiers inside GH today. The reds gave foods and water to soldiers earlier.

Nuttawut said if the reds outside GH have not eaten rice yet, those inside GH cannot eat. He said these foods are from taxes of all Thais and those inside GH want to eat should wear red and come out to stay with reds outside, to fight with Abhisit government.

Thats fine, use MY tax money to feed the Army. I'm not Thai and my monthly tax is enough to feed them for a week or two :o

What a load of old tripe... i cant believe some people are stupid enough to believe this c**p :o

It is difficult to keep the intensity of a demo going 24/7 and keep the numbers up especially as it is now the working week and very hot. Drama helps out.

The protesters blocked all gates..

I guess there's still enough then

It only takes 100 or so at each gate if there are orders not to touch them.

Let them blather on till they peter out; I think is the general plan.

Of course they are denying the food vendors the right to work.

Oh, but they are selling to the government functionaries,

they don't deserve to work unimpeded.

1.500 people!!!!

A massmovement, like the french revolution or when the communists took russia!!!!

1.500 are simply too many, neither police nor army can handle this huge amounts....it must be almost the complete population of Thailand :o
