MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

This is NOT a joke. If you were able to pass these 3 tests, you can cancel your annual visit to your neurologist.

Your brain is great and you're far from having a close relationship with Alzheimer.

5 to 10 seconds for the first two, more than 1 minute for the third.

It seems i don't have Alzheimer yet...but i might buy a new pair of glasses. :)

I must be close to getting Alzheimers. It took me maybe three minutes to find all three, with the "N" being the easiest.

I'm in the dangerous age group for this disease as well. :)

Got to the end of scanning the first one and found I'd forgotten the question... Does that count? :D

A couple of years ago I was listening to a report that the Alzheimer's society had asked their members to write in protest to the Prime Minister who had received n-thousand letters. The only thought that popped into my head was "I wonder how many had forgotton to put stamps on..?"

Does this make me a bad person? :D

Get a friend to lightly tap you between the eyebrows, you should blink reflexively. If you blink when tapped a second, third etc. time, then expect a visit from Dr Parkinson in your future. :)

Self-diagnosis - the only true path to hypochondria :D

About uuuuuhhhhhhhhh, huh? I found something, what was it again?

Sorry forgot, I uuuuuuuuurrrrr :)

Let me check if I did the laundry today, or was it yesterday.

I am sure I had an iced coffee here, now where is it?

Apropos the letter to the PM - I have heard of a person who refuses to put stamps on any envelopes addressed to the government. H ecites the OHMS principle = if it is "on Her majesty's Service" she can pay for it!

My mother has Alzheimer's. It's really a terrible disease, fortunately, she had a very late onset of the condition, she was nearly 90 and up until then she was functioning independently and quite well. Within a year, she had pretty much lost the plot. I was surprised how fast it can happen.

Here in Thailand, I applaud the health officials for doing the memory tests, but I hope that they will realize that a lot of things can contribute to poor memory and that Alzheimer's may be the most common, but it is hardly the only reason.

I thought it was a wind up, but found them in the end.

My wife saw the first two in less than 2 secs, about 5 or 6 secs for the third. Now, she's not clever (married me) so maybe it's a language thing.

gor the first 2 in a couple of seconds but took a 2nd scan of the lot to find the 3rd, about 9 seconds I think.

Thankfully none of my family has ever suffered any form of dementia, my step dads dad had it & it was terrible to see what was a strong, kind, generous & loving father revert to a child like state interspersed with bouts of terrible abusiveness. :)

In the "good ol' days"* in Nazi Germany, one of the ways Adolf Hitler used to become the richest man in the country was to claim a royalty payment for each and every stamp that had his picture, as head of state, on it. So your friend, had he lived there and then, may have a point in refusing to pay postage - although there would have been several reasons, mostly leather coated, why he probably wouldn't have got away with it.
