it was a lost cause from the start, it was never meant to achieve anything, the three stoogest didn't care as long as they distribute the money for the red shirt to show face and while at it why not kept some money for themself.

Thaksin tell bring your children out and join the protest, while his flee away and hide....man! this is classic.....it take an idiot not to see that.

Rainman is a staunch Thaksin believer. He's always defending his record in this forum and I'm just curious what skin in the game he has.

Rainman is certainly getting worked up about this one.

Rainman, "YOU ARE NOT A THAI" , I will repeat this for you in case you missed it the first time, "You are not a Thai".

Amazing Thailand Expats :o

I'm not worked up at all, I'm just giving everyone my thoughts as this unfolds. Read them if you want, don't read them if you don't. I have my opinions and you have yours. I'm not Thai and probably neither are you, so what's the problem?

Rainman, You have been jumping up and down like a one legged man in an arse kicking contest, you need to realise that no matter how thai you might think you are in the thaieye your not even worthy of an opinion.

Noi then rode on a protester's motorcycle to Victory Monument to hold an emergency meeting with other progressive reds about what to do about the trio of DAAD leaders, namely Nattawut Saikua, Veera Musikapong and Jatuporn Promphan.

She labelled the three as "authoritarian" and who didn't even listen to other DAAD leaders like Jakrapob Penkair

Jatuporn, as a reminder, treats his own 90 year-old mother in ill health like a piece of dung. Is anybody really surprised he doesn't listen to his fellow DAAD-ites or that he is treating Thailand like a piece of dung, too?

I suppose that one can somewhat sympathize with why Jatuporn has no time to take calls from his ailing mum. No doubt the amount of time he spends on the phone getting the latest set of orders from Dubai (or is it Nicaragua this week?) probably leaves him with little time for anything else.

It gets less funny: from the nation http://www.nationmultimedia.com/breakingne...irts-in-Pattaya

Red-shirts battle blue-shirts in Pattaya

Pattaya - Red-shirted protesters armed with giant firecrackers, Molotov cocktails, sling shots and batons, battled with local people who formed a line to protect the venue of Asean +6 summit venue here Saturday morning.

The clash happened at 8:40 am.

The outnumbered blue-shirted local people was scattered and ran for cover when the red-shirted people attacked them.

The Nation

end of quote!

I always like a good cocktail but not these from Mr. Molotov...

Maybe time for the government to do something??

Anti-government protesters in Thailand have scored a victory by preventing a meeting of regional foreign ministers at the Asean summit in Pattaya.

Japanese Foreign Minister Hirofumi Nakasone was unable to enter the talks venue because protesters were blocking the entrance.

Talks with his Chinese and South Korean counterparts had to be cancelled.

It is the first time supporters of ousted PM Thaksin Shinawatra were able to interrupt summit business.

they should specify who scored a victory. I can hardly see any winner. Thugs are preventing a meeting. Who won?

Thailand: No

Thailands reputation: No

Pattaya people: No

The government: No

Thaksin: No

this conversation is not moving forward for me when some people just dwell on trivia and picking apart the bits of posts they don; tlike like the oysters form a chicken... That is not debating, that is bone picking.

Perhaps we're just not the right sort of farangs, we must be here for the wrong reasons, but at least we're all despised by the locals unlike yourself ?

Or perhaps we really do share your desire for a move towards increased democracy here, but don't think Thaksin is an essential part of the process, based on his record ?

You have to admit it's quite a change of direction, from saying "democracy is not my objective" while in-power, to now being a fighter (from a safe distance) for liberty, fraternity and equality. :o

Red Shirts smashed the window of one French journalist's car on the road from Bangkok to Pattaya, and at least two other groups of journalists were roughed up by protesters on their way to the summit.

- IndoAsian News Service / 2009-04-10

And the Red-Shirts peaceful fight for Democracy continues ... with their usual thuggish-behaviour for people they might not like.

Not that they've yet occupied Swampy, just blockaded Chiang Mai Airport last week and attacked the PM's car in Pattaya, but at some point aren't they going to look just a little bit like the alleged 'international terrorists of the PAD', if they continue to act this peacefully, in their attempts to disrupt the ASEAN-conference ?

No need for you to imagine it, they did much worse in real life blocking tourists from going home by blocking airports, blocking the elected government from performing their functions, shooting at people in the street, murdering people, ping pong bombs etc, do you want me to go on or are you going to take your blinkers off?

its not as though we have not seen the footage of the yellows, its not as though you are telling us about some fish that you caught when you was alone.

I am sure the 16 heads of state are well protected by teams of body guards and I am sure their lives are not in danger, but how apt for a yellow shirted supporter to put the life of an elite before the life of a motor bike taxi rider.

Just to clarify, I am not condoning the reds actions, however I am not prepared either to see the criminal actions of the PAD swept under the carpet by certain posters as if they didn't happen.

The closing of the intersection at the Victory Monument has proven VERY unpopular!

So now the Master is trying to mak some damage control...

Thaksin Shinawatra tried to distance the whole movement from the turmoil. The taxi-drivers who parked their vehicles to block traffic in the area, he said, were only trying to help and acting on their own.

Source:

....sure have they been acting on their own... sure - they made a "honest mistake"!

Regarding the BBC News above:

The Nation expresses regarding the summit (in the article at same link as above) the following:

The summit between Asean leaders and their dialogue partners will now have added significance. It could become another forum for Abhisit to accumulate international charisma

I considered embarrassing you for your ridiculous posts but then I thought, no, let you get on with them, you are doing a grand job of embarrassing yourself, keep them coming. The sad thing is I think you actually believe what you are writing because nobody could expect anyone else to believe propaganda, we all know you are talking through your anus, its not as though we have not seen the footage of the yellows, its not as though you are telling us about some fish that you caught when you was alone.

Try and post sensibly and I am sure you will get some respect

The yellows never attacked anyone, they only defended themself.

No attacks with machetes and Molotov cocktails....

and this is why it's pointless even reading your posts, but at least by your reckoning the reds were just defending themselves against the blues this morning making everything ok.

Well I am sure I will still sleep tonight. Sorry you don't like to see both sides of a story. like I said earlier I don't condone the reds actions, but neither do I believe the criminal, violent actions of the PAD should be ignored or dismissed as fantasy.

Feel free to ignore my posts, no problem

Hint hint: There are other sources of news than DTV....many different one, politically left, right, conservative, liberal etc etc, just use any other sometimes. It does not really make sense to believe only one man who has proofed to be a selfish liar 1000 times already.

Somehow virtually holding 4 heads of state hostage does not seem the best way to endear you and your movement to the world. :o
