Tango7
Pictures from Channel 6 news shows protestors trashing Abhisit's car.... no-one doing a thing. Body guards doing nothing, police doing nothing. In the UK, USA I'm sure they'd have shot the protestors at that point.

slim
The PAD LOST the last election. Name one candidate that PAD fielded in the last election. Somkiat Pongpaiboon and Kasit Piromya. Fair enough though - These are members of the Democratic Party when it comes to elections and members of the PAD when it comes to thuggery. trigger571
At first i thought the Army were on the yellow shirts side (as they let them take over swampypoom airport)Now they let the red shirts into the Asean meeting and now the interior ministry (BBC reporting the army just let them in) I come to the conclusion that the Army are just incapable protecting government buildings/people or other property. Incapable. This is unbelievable, it really is. Cambodia or Burma should seize their chance and just invade. Who's going to stop them? The Army cant, that's pretty clear!! Agreed! This video on You Tube sums up the Thai Peoples feelings about all this, and the in-effectivness of the Police (note thay just look on and let others do the job) and army. Wait for the first minute to elapse then the video gets exciting
jbhh
The current government is illegitimate. The PAD LOST the last election. Do they think they can ride rough shod over democracy and expect the voices of the people to be silent? There will be blood............................ Sorry but you need to get your facts straight. PAD is not a party, it has never been in an ellection and is not (part of) the government. The current government is 100% legitimate. The current prime minister has been democratically elected by the Parliament. The current government (as it is now) is not the one that was elected, as the P.P.P and it's coalition partners were ALL dissolved BY LAW because of vote buying Edited April 12, 2009 by jbhh

Indra
Army Police & Civil Servents = Coulor Blue ???? Who the hel_l are the dudes in blue? They are intent on mixing it with the Reds so at a guess Pad paid heavies?? I saw the blue shirt people in Singapore newspaper. They looked like ninja with head and face covered; Ninjas cover themselves so that they cannot be identified. What is the purpose of the cover for the blue shirt? Anybody can guess it? the BLUE shirts are being supported by the mayor of pattaya - some mafia influences here also -- mayor is son of kamnam pho - the big boss of chon buri - and who happens to be in hiding outside of the country due to pending court cases -- and of course the ex member from burirum - Newin -- they cover their faces as they are cowards - and worry about being indentified for shootings and what ever they are seen doing -- just a bunch of hired thugs - one paper refered to them as paid militia --- nuff said Such a good guess, more than what I expected

tiger50
Tourism Thailand whatever is left will diminish further, ohh well wonder what more shirts there will be after the red, pink? Think Thailand is a ticking volcano which will erupt soon, when we get all this nonsense from different fractions claiming to represent the people it looks like a upcoming state of chaos. It is just a matter of time before it will affect foreigners, as seen in other countries going through this shit before. The airport was the first one which affected foreigners, and I will not be surprised if the reds will target something which makes an international outcry soon to get there point across. Already hostage taking of ASEAN Summit hotel, all this stuff is terrorism, and the so called forces who is supposed to control this is doing very little about it, it's like a free for all. I hope this will stop soon before Thailand will go down as a total fiasco economically and all the people who is dependent of foreign income such as tourism, factory workers etc. will suffer for a minority who is fighting for the few guys in the background who want the power, this is just that a few power hungry <deleted> who want to run the country using believers, and pay off poor people to do acts of crime to get the puppet masters interests through. Want to stop it, follow the money and you get to who it is, remove them and it ends. Bard I agee..with the yellow shirts before, and now the red shirts, the person who is paying the demonstrators and feeding them cowpat every day, is also in both cases, paying the police generals cash in hand, to keep his police out of sight, therefore allowing the demonstrators to go and do what they want, like take the parliment building, the airport, the very important asean meeting. Its not a case of training the police, to handle riots, at the moment we know they are only trained in police college how to collecting money from the bars, and motorists, any group backed by any person, just has to give the back handers to the police generals in charge, to remove his men, or put only a dozen officers at the front, who then leg it. esprit
picturesThose 3 pictures with the reds in action really are scary. Yes, the pictures are scary, but i'm sorry, the Army is supposed to be trained to deal with 'scary' situations. Sheesh, if they are afraid of a man with a 3foot knife, what are they going to do when a load of people begin shooting bullets at them? Go home, cry to mummy and eat somtum? Unfortunately the answer is 'yes' What a pathetic PATHETIC Army we have. They are supposed to be guarding the country for gawds sake, against attack from within and without. PA-fuc_k1ING-THETIC. Abolute corruption provides for the absolute corrupt with absolutely unreliable state protection. Education, and grades obtained is absolutley corrupt as it is reflective of the absolute acceptance of student / teachers providing "knee-tremblers" to improve grades.- fundamentaly the example of Thai education standards and reflective of future business life. Absolute curruption is witness by students copying each other immediately outside any educational establishment. The BIB imposing their own laws. Business people considering 40 % gross profit margins are poor. How far should we go ? ulitimately, it will take a dramatic and sudden change to bring this country in-line. Whether they want it or not is another matter. However Lebanon was a rich, multi-cultural and wonderful place in the 50's and 60's. Look at it now. Bangkok is only short journey away. You have dissaffected Thais, uneducated Thais, An Elite who are feudalistic, absolute curruption is everywhere, down-trodden ethnic minorities in the South and a strong Russian mafia in the West. All the ingredients. The script is written now for Lights, Music, Action. Edited April 12, 2009 by esprit
