steelepulse
Here's a shot from the dining room/kitchen area to the room divider. That looks a very large tank. Exactly how big is it and who did it for you pls ? 8000 litres and a company in Oz built it as I couldn't find a local company that could make a custom size acrylic. All the local companies could do was offer premade glass tanks.

Naam
we don't have children running around but these two little rascals (one of them is not fully yet housetrained) Let me guess. The one that isn't fully housetrained prefers using your carpets as opposed to using the marble? you guessed right

teletiger
Chez falang kee nok. Khao Yai, overlooking the park. Built 2005. 240 sq mt. 1.5 million Baht. The local crew did a great job on the shell, but I should have got specialists to finish the interior. Regards. I must add that Sir Burrs place is something special. Regards. Korat88
Here's a shot from the dining room/kitchen area to the room divider. Nice aquarium. I presume it is a saltwater one. phutoie2
This is for mainly for the TV member who asked about building costs. Well 246,000 Baht spent on materials so far and have bought just about everything, some more cement/plaster and paint for outside of house plus varnish for the wooden window frames and doors later.. Going to add a lean to garage and front porch. An outside kitchen and Thai style bathroom has been built on the back of the house. No requirement for lawn or garden, rural Thai's it seems are not into that too much. So well on target for 400-450k Baht target, about the same price of one of Naam's vase's or that fish tank! Location is 30 km's south west of Sa Kaew, not too far from Route 317, road to the East Coast - Chanthaburi & Koh Chang. PS: This not my house!, its a belated wedding present (4 years!) for the wife's Mum.
Naam
So well on target for 400-450k Baht target, about the same price of one of Naam's vase's or that fish tank! you overestimate the price of vases in my house. but last month i spent considerably more for an additional servants quarter (36m², 2 rooms, bathroom and kitchenette)

Would also like to have one in my future house, just concerned about the cleaning/maintenance. The bigger it is, the less maintenance is required as far as water quality. There are some really good salt water forums if you're new to the hobby. reef central dot com is a HUGE forum with a ton of information. There's also a local bangkok reef forum called siam reef club dot com.

villagefarang
Not sure that most of us think our's is best. There is, however, a large investment of self, thought, time, money and effort in any project, whether large or small. We all do the best we can, given our circumstances, needs and preferences. In the end it is a labor of love and we all take a sense of pride in what we have built, and share I hope, in the accomplishments of others. No particular reason for asking. please be specific. the location of one safe? anyone of the four? or all four safes? 1. All four would be great thanks Naam. 2. Also, can't help wondering with all that space where the dogs sleeps? 1. will send details (location and combinations) by PM. you wouldn't want to have competition, would you? 2. the little one (4 months old) is not yet fully "kosher" and sleeps in her cage in "study 1". when i get up (around 03.00hrs) i take her to the garden for a pee and a poo. the older one (1½ years old) sleeps on his bed located in "study 2" till it gets bright and later on any sofa or soft chair as he pleases. I just wish we had more house pictures to justify it and back it up. what about pictures of gardens? i find them as interesting as house pictures. unfortunately neither me nor the Mrs were able to plan any of our gardens in details as we planned the houses we built. whenever i cross my property line i see at least one garden with beautiful ideas which never entered my mind.
