Tooth Whitening

Featured Replies

Hi Folks,

I recently quit smoking and drinking coffee and in order to inspire myself I had my teeth laser treated over in Samui. :o My teeth were pretty bad and the treatment did wonders, but I've been looking for those boxes of peroxide with the mouthguard type thing that you can get at the drugstore in the states. The dentist offered to sell me some stuff at the sale price of an additional 7000 baht or something ridiculous like that, but I passed. I remember buying this stuff for 8 bucks in the states. Does anyone know where I could buy this stuff in Samui?

Not sure in Samui but I have bought this in Thailand. The name of the distributor is in Thai so maybe somebody at a Pharmacy can translate it for you and contact them. I bought it in both Korat and Pattaya. In Korat it was the Pharmacy attached to Tesco Lotus....I think the name of the Pharmacy is something like Wegmans??? Same name of Pharmacy in Pattaya. I originally bought in the States with the mouthguard. In Thailand I didn't see the mouthguard, just the gel. But one could ask if you can find it in Samui.

The stuff you get from a dentist is not the same as that sold OTC, it is a much stronger concentration and with it the dentist provides custom fit tooth trays made from a mold of your teeth, this latter is what accounts for most of the cost (and the custom fit is what makes it possible to use a stronger concentration). Once you have it, you can reuse the trays for subsequent appluications and buy only the gel.
