it is possible to get it in Thailand, not too difficult

It is not so simple as an "abortion pill". A number of things you should know:

1. Two different drugs are required and they must be taken in the proper sequence and the right number or hours apart.

2. Only suitable in early pregnancy (8 weeks or less)

3. Even when used properly and at right gestation, 15% of c ases will be imcompletei.e. have retained tissue requiring surgical removal. For this reason some providers still recommend surgical approach instead; at a minimum, woman needs to be clearly informed of this possibility and the signs/symptoms to watch for.

Due to the these factors above, should be obtained from a trained person who can verify that the pregnancy is not too advanced for this method, provide correct instructsions and counseling.

Abortion in Thailand is legal only if a licensed doctor determines it is ncessary for the woman's (mental or physical) health, so medical abortion, like surgocval abortion, can only legally be obtained at a hospital or clinic 9although the woman, after proper screening and counseling, can take the second pill later at home).

Sale of these drugs over the counter is illegal and, for the reasons already outlines, also unwise.

As for Cambodia: there is no brand yet registered for use in the country, although the Ministry of health is in process of registering a brand which would provide both drugs and clear accompanying instructions. In the interim the market has been flooded with a variety of preparations, mostly from China. Some of these contain only 1 of the 2 drugs that should be taken and most lack clear labelling in English. Some are real, some are counterfeit. It has created a significant health problem with large numbers of infections, and other complications as a result of women self-medicating with incorrect preparation or dose or at wrong stage of pregnancy etc. Would definitely not advise buying and using these preparations. See a proper doctor, there are NGO clinics in both Cambodia and Thailand which provide quality service at low cost.
