I'd now class myself as a very fit 48 year old.

I work out with weights and run frequently and have also learnt to swim too.

Since giving up smoking, my weight's gone up to 76kilos but most of it is good muscle. I'm about 182 cm (6'), with a heart rate about 45 -60, and blood pressure varying from 115/65, to 150/85.

But I can't touch my toes, or sit cross legged, and think in fact it is more a remedial issue than a sporting one.

About 6 months ago I started stretching exercises but ran in to trouble when I cricked my neck doing head rotation exercises.

Is there a set of gentle, and then progressive exercises that I can refer to achieve my aim of just being supple enough to sit cross legged and eat with my family.?
