daveman
Hello I am 38 Irish and thinking of moving to Thailand/Laos for a couple of years at least I am unsure what visa to get, I should be moving form one country to the next several times, should i try get a non immigrant visa, although i know i need a letter form an employer which i don't have. Is it possible to "buy" one. or should i just get a triple entry tourist visa, if i plump for the latter will i use up my 60 day stay even if i only remain in Thailand for 20 days and go the Cambodia or Laos for a trip. and How long does the multi tourist entry last for? Lite Beer
A Multi Entry Non Imm O Visa. Gives unlimited entries for a year. Make your last entry just before it expires and you get another 90 days giving a total of 15 months. You may not get in Dublin but you can get from the Thai Consulate in Hull. Reason to visit friends and family. Apply by post. http://www.thaiconsul.co.uk/downloads-and-visas.aspx
ubonjoe
You should try getting a multiple entry non-o visa to visit friends. It would be valid for one year and allow you to leave and re-enter as many times as you want getting a 90 day stay each time. If you make an entry just before it expires you can get a total of almost 15 months without getting a new visa. You can contact the consulate in Dublin. http://www.thaiconsulateireland.com/ Or if they are not helpfull contact the consulate in Hull. They will accept a mail in from Ireland. http://www.thaiconsul-uk.com/downloads-and-visas.aspx
mangkorn
Does the multiple entry non-O visa have to be obtained in one's home country, or can it issued from an Asian consulate? Thanks.

You have no chance in Asia unless you are married to a Thai. The nearest possibility would be Perth Australia

You will only get a double entry tourist visa from Laos. Speak to Hull, they will give you a non-o with no questions asked.
