May 20, 200916 yr So I was perusing One2cars in my downtime. I found this decent looking '96 Camaro. Price? A whopping 1 090 000 THB for cash in hand. An even more unbelievable 1 571 320 THB on payments. So I cruised over to the US autotraders and searched for the same car. Highest price to pay? 685 545 THB (and that's for a car with less than 10 000 miles (16 000 for you francophiles)! Cheapest was for 154 850 THB (a high milage version). I understand c'est la vie, but it's still a shocker.
May 20, 200916 yr 300% Import Tax for Cars in Thailand. For ex., an M3 in the USA is around 60,000 USD, which is around 2 Million Baht. Here in Thailand an M3 costs around 8 million Baht. An excessive amount of Tax to Thai Government puppets.
