As an advantage, it also multi threads the download of the video, so even if you are just watching, you have much less buffering on iffy connections ! After watching it, just go to Tools, Internet Options, Settings and View Files and you will see a listing of everything downloaded. Click on the file size column to bring all large files to the top and the date will give you a lead on which one you want. Click it, CTRL+C to copy it and then paste it in some other folder. You can check the box to download High Quality (HQ) videos in YouTube only. I generally downoad YouTube videos in .avi format, but there are other formats to choose from.
