Work Permit For "consultant" Work

I read in another post a suggestion to one participant - to get a work permit as a consultant. I thought this was one position that is prohibited to foreigners. Or is it in some fields only. Any one ?. Where could I get hold of the list of professions/positions that foreigners cannot hold ?.

Just type in "Prohibited Jobs" in the search and you get the following:

The consultant thing is not there as far as I am aware, it was part of a new initiative from

Immigration and The Department of Employment.

Actually, rather than being a prohibited occupation 'consultant' is the sawyer for many of us. Particularly if you can back it up with some documented HQ-skills to share with Thais while carrying out the consultancy work
