Had Yai This Month

Featured Replies

I am thinking about taking a trip to Had Yai later this month but have been told by serveral people in Bangkok not to bother as its not safe. Is this good advice should I stay in Bangkok?

Anyone there or been there recently?

Thanks for your help.

:) OH hatyai is very safe unlike pattani, yala or narathiwat....I go there every month.Don't worry too much and take it easy.

Yes I was there a 2 days ago returning from a trip to Malaysia. No worries. The recent violence is in the south east, Hat Yai has seen little violence. And even then, did you flee from Bkk when a few people died in the december turmoil?

I would not worry and just go.
