invex
Hi all, I booked a flight today June 13th leaving LOS this monday 15th. I have no chance to get a re-entry permit before I leave the country. I have a non-imm retirement visa for about 7 years now, exp Jan 2010. Now, what can I do to get one or what will be the consequenses upon returning to Thailand June 25th. I am traveling to New Zealand. Thanks for the replies.

Without a re-entry permit your visa extension your visa is shot. Get a new one in NZ before you return.

Lite Beer
They are supposed to be issuing Re Entry Permits at the airport in cases of emergency. So far have seen no reports of this being done. As said you will have to start all over again without one.
ubonjoe
If you can confirm to immigration that you have a valid emergency you can get one at the airport. If not you should get a single entry non-o at the Thai embassy in NZ and make an application for a new extension when you return. Mobi
Sorry I can't help you, but let this be a warning to others. I always keep a multi re-entry in my passport in case of emergencies. Even if you don't want to go to the expense of a multi, whenever you come back from an overseas trip, or whenever you extend your visa, you should get a new single, unused re-entry in your passport. It makes sense - anything can happen.

Yoyo777
i went to the airport for the re-entry stamp in january. they jsut cancelled it 3 days before. so i baged the officer to help me because i just received my work permit 2 days earlier and everything would have been lost. after 5 minutes talking sweet to here she helped me. i got the re-entry stamp and paid the fee. but she told me not to tell anybody and she will not do it again. but if you decide to go there make sure you have all the papers you need. especially the passport photos. otherwise you have to run through the whole airport two times to get a picture. RubbaJohnny
Agree Mobi and am applying multi entry as a rerve in case of emergency I guessOP has gone or delayed For membersinfo I was at Swampy in January waiting internal flight to Ranong with 4 hrs to kill As i was goingto Malaysia later OI asked to get re-entry to be told Office closed go downtown Knowing BKK might be doable by cab assuming NO queues and back in 4 hrs if v lucky If trafc bad and big delay at Suan Zoo you could misshe flight I chose to get re-entry in 10 painless minutes at a very friendly Immi office a long way from nowhere in the back streets of Ranong where most of the other clients had pushy agents trying to extend visas for very comely "UKRANIAN LADIES" ,POLE dancers and E European hostesses and croupiers from a Casino deal in Burma" My wife thought it all very amusing as they were wearing mini skirts 1/3 lenght of the v demure and reapproi Thai Office ladies. Who gave them "THE LOOK" as no better than she ought to be if theres anyone else as ancient as me to remeber Kritine Keiller gf of a Soviet spy and British Minister never revealed if ot was alternate or back to back(Film was made with Val Kilmer) .In the court after the dead Dr and hints at folks in v high places in very odd postures and liasons ,the bargirls pal Mandy Rice Davis aka Randy Mice uttered the immortal phrase "She would wouldn't she"
