See the ads "Using Sour Dough with No Additives or Bread Improvers" Wow, must try.

I used to think the only kind of bread a person allowed to eat should be Sour Dough.

So anyone know where "The French Bread Collection" is? Thank you.

Suppose to be somewhere in Seraphi. Ask Mike from Meals on Wheels. I think they only bake to order though. And the ad about "Using Sourdough" is misleading. Although they use a starter the bread is not sour dough but naturally leavened sweet french bread. It does have a very nice fresh smell but it is not sour. I would like to get some but I have a problem eating the whole loaf at one time by itself.

S and P make lovely bread. Yamazaki in Ro Sons do great english bread. They also make giant gingerbread men that have huge tummies and only a few buttons. I like those a lot.

I have a card right here for a guy in CM that makes fresh bread. They sometimes come by our bar selling it in a big basket. It is good bread. The card reads "The French Bread, Free delivery in town, For sale also, At Chez Marco LoiKroh, River Side Condo, 085 032 2935 Nit". The card is terrible but the bread is good. The card is actually a piece of paper that they stamped with a rubber stamp.

I don't usually get into these food pizzing contests unless I am sure about what I speak

When you finish playing around with all the other suggestions...... go to where you will be buying your bread from now on.... CRUSTY LOAF /IRISH PUB.

Don't worry yourself about the sour dough part. Just get the F/B , its about 20 inches long or so. Moist and delicious. Its about 30 baht.

To whoever said he was afraid he couldn't eat a whole loaf. I usually buy one extra and eat a whole one on the way home. At home the dog then licks out the crumbs from the car.

You listen to Gonzo. When I speak , I know what I am talking about

the preceding has been a paid political announcement.... it costs 2 loaves of F/B

Try their whole wheat baguette too while you are there.....

I really have nothing to do with place other than assisting a friend of mine, who shall remain nameless, put a new garage door on his place across the street..

So where is it??? This isn't the UN Irish Pub is it?

UN Irish has good bread. So do Bread Brasserie (google it or citylife magazine website).

Personally I prefer the "French Country Sourdough" loaf, at Carrefour.

It is a rather large "boule" about 10" in circumference and domed with a nice cross hatch pattern on the top. Crust is fairly tough (as it should be) and inside rather chewy with a decent texture. They cut back on the high gluten flour they were using before, but still decent. 75 B a loaf.

See this reference from Wikipedia:

S&P ??? Bread ??? It's like their cakes : very bad, no taste, salted...

Carrefour seems to be the best place for French Bread :-)
