Depends on the age. I see many families coming to Imm Eco on Bumrungrad road. The minimum depth is 60cm there. There are sun lounges, towels to use, table tennis... 100 baht per person. They also have a guard on duty. The pool is nice and quite big.

I also have been in The Real Center of Universe, it's a nice one, too. It's quite shallow on both ends, but not less than one meter. Also have sun loungers and towels for RENT, fees vary, but most of time is 200 baht per person. The good thing about this one is that it has Salt water, not chlorine. It's really soft and nice.

And many kids love 700 years sports complex swimming pool as it's big and have things to jump from... on different levels of height. I don't know their pricing.

If you want to escape the noise and traffic get out of Chiang Mai to Mae Rim at Away Suansawan Resort. 2 swimming pools, fitness, huge gardens, feed the fish in the lake or ponds, use the beautiful sauna and minutes away from child friendly attractions such as the Elephant Camp, Snake show, Monkey Centre. I'm totally biased because I own it!

Have a look at this page:

It might help you decide. One of the nicest places I've seen is 'Yaang Come Village', number 1 on this page:

www.thailand-travel-help.com/hotel-in-chiang-mai-thailand.html .....the pool looks great there

Also, Ayatana Hamlet and Spa has a very peaceful location and looks great. See number 2 on this page:

Good luck and have a great holiday.....oh, there's a nice pool at 'ChiangMaiLand' - entry about 50 baht per person, open about 9am......they really take care of the pool, there are also tennis courts, and instructors if you need them, you can also rent racquets.
