I bought a load (enough to fill a 6x4ft bean bag) about a year ago from Chiang Mai plastic. I think they were about B300 per kg bag. The price has probably gone up a bit since then.

Good luck

Nice one cheers! Actually that was going to be my first port of call - thanks for confirming my thoughts.

I'm going to use it for a bean bag too - check this whopper out -> http://www.instructables.com/id/bean-bag-sofa--bed/

thanks again

Haha that's the same site I used for mine! That guy makes some monsters!

The big ones use soooooo many beans though. I remember putting 5 huge bags in mine and it did nothing. Think I ended up with about 12 or 15.

In the end it got too expensive so I went to Siam TV and got of their polystyrene, from packaging. They collect it all round the back. Then just broke up and put it in the bag. The mix of that and the beans made the bag more stable and thier polystyrene didn't squash down too quickly.

Here is a pic of my beast!

haha! amazing!

How does it function as a couch then, ok? comfortable?

And what material did you use, where did you buy it and how much did it cost? (sorry for all the questions)

Thanks for the Siam TV tip.

cheers

Really comfortable as a couch! Only problem is when you try to get out of it!

I had 4 people sitting very comfortably in my one. The best thing is that it will support you what ever position you sit/lie in.

I got all my fabric from the shop next to the Warrarot shop (last shop on the left at Kad Luang). For the inner bag I found some cheap strong fabric. The outer bag is less important, just depends on what your into. I got mine from the same shop as the inner. Think all the fabric came to about B5-600, as did the sewing. I got mine stitched up at a place near mine but there are loads of sewing people on the top floor of the main market building that could do it.

If I made another, I would get the outer fabric from the last (i think last) fabric shop on the little side road, behind the main market building. It's on the right just before you get to Thae Pae road. They have some really nice Lanna style stuff with stripes etc.

Have fun!
