Air Rifles

Featured Replies

Can anyone tell me if a farang is allowed to have an air rifle (pellet rifle) on Samui?

I know that there are very strict laws regarding firearms ownership but I don't know if that covers air rifles as well.

Any help or reference wold be appreciated

Cheers

My concern was for those long hissing visitors that sometimes like to live under my house. Looks like this as also a previous question and after reading the other replies, seems that you just have to take your own chances.

i have a shipment coming in from aborad with furniture etc so will just toss it in somewhere and see what happens.

Cheers

FYI: Furniture from abroad will not last here, because of the humanity, except you close the windows and aircon 24/7.

Snakes under the house are rare. Most are harmless. I live here 20+ years in natural surroundings and had 3 snakes around my house in that time, but must say one was huge cobra.

But I had some centipedes again and again, crawling out of somewhere, mostly out of the bathroom, am therefore a master centipedes catcher, one rather harmless scorpion, and no poisonous spider, they are harmless.

That's a centipede:

I am sure that in Thailand, air rifles come under the same regulations as other hand weapons.

The ones sold in the supermarket malls are not the same, they only have limited range and ammo.

The real air rifles, either .177 or .22 calibre, can be lethal.
