Where Can I Buy

Featured Replies

Help please. Where can I find a street vendor selling decent sized BBQ chicken (not fried), som tam, stickey rice and narm jim. I dont like the chicken that appears to have been basted in some sort of orange dye. The last 2 mornings I have woken up at 8ish unable to find anything like what I am after. There used to be a good stall down the ghost road (dissapeared now, pun intended) but my searchings in Laem Din and Chaweng have proved fruitless.

I get it several times a week from a woman who has a stall in front of her laundry. It's on the lakeview road heading towards Chaweng Beach. It's on the left (north) side maybe 50 meters from the big intersection where the lake road runs into, well, I guess the other lake road (the one that goes north-south past McDonalds). The chicken is grilled and she has a few different types.

Coming from Big Buddha after Wat Plai Laem 150 meters right hand side on the street to Choeng Mon, a little bit up opposite the newest 7/11 there.

:)

But most of these vendors don't start before appr. midday.

Tesco - ask the seller to wrap it in aluminium foil or use the aluminium-lined paper bags.

Thanks for the help people. I won't trouble you Poor Sucker as my cravings are fairly random, thank you for the kind offer though. Plenty to try out in the meantime.
