Drug-using Tourists Not Welcome On Samui

Featured Replies

have a walk around or after sunset along Chaweng Beach - many peddlers... many!

About 20 years ago (first time ever on Samui) I staid in "Arabian Bungalows" (not existing anymore, sold to another operation) on Chaweng.

The son of the (Samui born) owner was a kind of (tall!) handsome, friendly and nice, guy who had a few "friends" around him the whole day. They played guitar and enjoyed themselves all day long; the words working and labour were not in their vocabulary. The son had several babies with Farang girls in various EU countries....he showed me the pictures :D

On several occasions they showed me top quality Grass/Marijuana they harvested themselves; all wrapped up in an ordinary newspaper; quite some quantities, back in those days.

I was offered weed/grass on several occasions on Samui, on several beaches, indeed mostly after sunset.

So, it's still going on......the authorities shouldn't blame the tourists who use a joint once in a while. The Yaba problem is a much bigger kind of headache to Thailand :)
